hi so i recently got hired at starbucks and i wanted to learn about the drinks in advance and i had questions, based on you guys’ experience
- what is the hardest drink to make?
- what is the easiest drink to make (besides water)
- why do baristas hate making frappuccinos ?
- how do you feel about crazy tik tok recipes?

1. hardest to make is probably a true flat white. it requires a good handling and presentation of the steamed milk.
2. easiest to make is either an iced chai or an iced tea with no water or a hot brewed coffee.
3. frappuccino's have 11!!! steps for 1 drink. its extremely time consuming and annoying. it requires your full attention, plus when people order 1 frappuccino they often order like 5 different ones.
4. i don't really care about making the tik tok drinks. as long as the customer is clear in what they want and polite.
5. favorite drink is probably a salted caramel cold foam cold brew with no caramel syrup, sub for vanilla syrup.

Hardest would be Cloud Machiatto because it’s annoying to make
Easiest is an iced Chai
Frappuccinos are way too many steps and by the end of a rush I’m stained with the frap roast
Tik tok recipes are fine when they aren’t gross or rude but do scratch your partner numbers off any receipt you hand out
Favorite drink is Strawberry Refresher or no whip mocha.

-Flat whites(need to have a good grasp on foam) and drinks with wierd cold foams (dont froth properly)
-iced chai
-frappes take a lot of time/ingredients, and people usually order a bunch of them
-tik tok drinks are fun as long as they have a recipe, and dont mind when the drink comes out expensive

Hard to imagine a long time partner being this catty about terms for no reason. Also they asked for a favourite drink. An undertow, to the uninitiated, is in fact a drink

\- I have a hard time remembering all of the different cold foams
\- iced coffee/coldbrew/nitro are the easiest bc you literally just pour it
\- because they're hard to make while also making other drinks, and there are only 2 blenders (at my store) so you can only make 2 at a time, so when Karen orders 6, it takes a minute.
\- I wish baristas would make a disclaimer on drinks that people just can't order. Or explain that if you want a tiktok drink you can't order it by name, you need to know the recipe.
\- So I make a cream based frap with peach juice about 1/3 of the way to the bottom line (like if you used peach juice instead of frap roast) and sometimes I throw a little vanilla bean powder in there if I'm feeling spicy
