DM REMOVED ALL THE SOCIAL DISTANCING CIRCLES....(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Simplyroro
So our DM did her PPV and decided she should remove the circles that say please stand here. So today we just had a mob at the hand off plane.... im learning to despise her.

report it to corporate! that's not acceptable at all, there's a certain line you can call that is anonymous so you won't be hurt for reporting :)
DizzyCroutons4 points2y ago
do you know what that line is?

Our stickers came off after month or so. It was bad because customers were tripping on them. I think we got ours out too
Sandan387 points2y ago
I just used duct tape on the edges to tape them down, it’s been holding much better
cush46 points2y ago
That is bad. We replaced ours. No excuse to not have them. The sku number is right on them and they are VERY easy to order. They arrive FED EX next day delivery. Seriously managers need to be held accountable for the safety of the partners and customers. If we have to work with the stupid bar guard they need to be held accountable for social distancing stickers. Does anyone READ the weekly updates? Or maybe they disregard past updates lol.

is it a conspiracy theory if its true

Mine is amazing, supportive and listens. I'm grateful for her, when I told her our lobby was getting unsafe, we closed it down. I wish all districts had someone like her.
Alicat-and-Quasar6 points2y ago
Where do you work and are you accepting transfers
BunnyKerfluffle7 points2y ago
The downside is, we are in Alabama. And yes, we are accepting transfers.
quanday12320 points2y ago
If it's causing consistent problems in your lobby where social distancing is being ignored and you and your team feel unsafe, don't hesitate to let your SM and/or dm. If they throw their hands in the air just go to pcc.

I know the stickers are there for liability reasons but how do people not have some idea of what six feet of distance looks like? We’ve only been using these practices for five months.
ShutMyWh0reM0uth-11 points2y ago
Americans (me included) feel awkward as shit standing in lines. Are we too close? Does the person behind me think I'm not close enough? Will the prison behind me say something? Will they just try to cut their way in? Adddddddddd in the Starbucks nonsense, and it becomes, what if they also ordered (or think they ordered) the Iced quadruple venti skim, 1 pump vanilla, no ice latte?
golden_pinky3 points2y ago
Not an excuse. Come on, you know how far apart to stand at this point!
ShutMyWh0reM0uth3 points2y ago
I do. I literally look outside my front window and I see my neighbors carrying on with each other face-to-face their kids tumbling over themselves and the other parents. If they didn't know six feet with 6 ft before, they don't know it now
1h20girl248 points2y ago
Why do people have to be told where to stand anyway? Just shows how people really are...greedy and impatient lol especially when it comes to their frapps and coffee
writersandweirdos5 points2y ago
Ugh! We were supposed to open for outdoor seating only but then our DM decided we’d open cafe seating too because “we need to start making up the profit loss” and now there’s basically always people inside with their masks off. How do we enforce the mask policy to other people when there’s another customer 2 feet away from them without one? We have partners who are at a high health risk and none of us feel safe but I guess anything for the BUCKS ammirite??? # Starbucks never really cared about their partnersss

thought i was on the dnd subreddit for a bit i got really confused
Topsykaye1 points2y ago
SAME!
jangdangit2 points2y ago
Our dm banned us from using sanitizing wipes, so we have to manually spray multi purpose and wipe as we go smh
dancing_durian2 points2y ago
I didn’t know this was a thing. lol. My DM made my SM spent a whole morning not only stickering those dumb circles that nobody bothers to look but also arrow tapes pointing where customers should go. Now she made us remove EVERYTHING because ‘it looks sloppy!’ *insert guess I’ll die meme here*
Simplyroro [OP]2 points2y ago
Yeah she said they where rude, most people are aware of how to social distance. My customers can't even be bothered to realize they ordered a hot drink not a Frappuccino and pick up other peoples drinks.. How can you expect them to FIGURE OUT 6 WHOLE FEET🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
dancing_durian3 points2y ago
Customers are the worst. The whole touching and picking up other people’s drinks were already annoying pre-COVID. Now it just enrages me. People really don’t have any consideration for others.
