Well I'd say that the thing that's really awful about the whole situation is the fact that we're open and not really taking precautions through out a pandemic. Our country isn't taking it seriously and we're dealing with the same starbucks BS while also risking our lives.
So it's become a lose/lose situation and that's what makes it worse.
Not to mention we're no longer getting cat pay! Don't get me started on that lol

My stores been way busier than ever. Most of the time there’s a line wrapped around the store, and we don’t have enough people working. Also customers have been extra rude. It sucks.

Surprisingly, my store in NY has increased its business by 25% this summer. We've been taking a lot of precautions and doing a lot of cleaning. Except for all the precautions, everything feels mostly the same, but I cant wait till we'll be able to return to some form of normalcy hopefully by the start of next year

I personally started January 2020 and I can only vaguely remember what it was like before COVID. Honestly it’s saddening because even though I can barely remember what it was like I remember liking it a lot. I still do like my job despite the current difficulties we all face, I do still have faith we’ll be able to return to something normal. When is a whole different question completely, but every now and then I’ll think of times before COVID.

So many people have quit. 12 total at my store. We finally hired some people and had a transfer but I know it won't get any easier. Customers are much more rude, the safety precautions are a joke, were constantly understaffed (don't even talk to me about two days ago. We had 3 people in the floor during PEAK. We basically had one doing Drive thru, one Bar, and one everything else, ovens, CS, Register, etc. It was terrible), and we're constantly out of stuff because of the shortage. No CAT pay and nobody has gotten suck yet but even with block scheduling if any of us got sick at all, we'd probably have to shut down entirely. Scary times and it's infuriating because Starbucks has the money to deal with this properly.
