my old store in FL (the epicenter of covid in july and not doing much better now) opened the lobby back up while my store in CA (where cases are much lower) hasn't. makes no sense 😭

I went to my old sbux in Southern California and they aren’t even doing grab and go yet. But down in Orange County you can go in just can’t sit in the cafe.

Sounds a lot like it has to do with how many people in your area just don’t give a shit about covid and are complaining. DM’s care more about customer satisfaction than the safety of their employees, it seems. We just opened up our bathrooms and the advice our manager got was “if your employees are scared or nervous, tell them to not to be.” 😒

I’m in a state where the cases are still climbing and my cafe has been open for more than a month. We can barely enforce the mask mandate bc our SM doesn’t understand how germs/infections work

I was just in California and Las Vegas for 2 weeks, one place we could eat in that was fast food but the others we couldn’t, and I was ok with that! We went out to dinner at 2 restaurants and the seating was outside on the sidewalk for one and in a tent for the other. I was comfortable with that. I’m ok with the cafes not being open, I go back to work tomorrow and our cafe is open and I’m kind of freaking out because it opened last week while I was gone.

They aren’t making easy, they are making it harder. Like with the bar and dt guards, idk how many bruises I have from them. It’s insane. My brother just went back to work in his office and doesn’t know ow we do it with our masks on working like we do. He tells people if my 42 yo sister can work 9 hour days in a mask and working hard, you can wear it in the store for a short amount of time.

We do it because some of us have no choice 😂 I'm tired of being treated like shit. Bring back hazard pay, force mangers to adhere to the mask mandate and for the love of JAH KEEP THE DAMN LOBBIES CLOSED!!! PLEASE

Right?!? Like I have to stay for my benefits, my husbands are so expensive and not very good, so I keep working for our insurance. I’m tired though, I’m tired of being yelled at, coffee thrown at me, being threatened almost daily.
