Might be adding ice later/ tossing it in fridge at work/ etc. Easier for most people to modify their favorites on mobile than start all over.

I do that sometimes, but I order it as an iced espresso no ice. Very nice to wake up in the morning, throw some ice in the cup and go and I highly recommend this to people who dont have time to stop at sbux in the morning but want something (iced) before work.

I had that happen for the first time (through mobile order of course) the other day and I was so confused. Like wtf are you trying to get here, a latte?? Cuz I can make a caramel ribbon crunch “latte” that will taste so much better than a CRCF with no ice.

The worst thing is when they want a Frappuccino with no base. That happened to me today (it was also made with heavy cream because it was some kind of keto bullshit) and I had to scoop it out of the blender pitcher with a bar spoon. I thought the blender was going to blow up.

I have a couple coworkers on keto who want drinks made without base. They even go as far as to say they wish there was a “no base” button for customers! Ahhhh no. Yesterday I had a customer request some sort of blended keto ice coffee (gag) and one of my keto coworkers (who helped the customer order) said to me “it looks like you forgot the base in that” as i was struggling to get the nasty chunky mess into the cup ..... no shit. You told the customer to order this, WITHOUT BASE.

I had some lady try to order a keto mocha frap and couldn’t understand why it came out so chunky. When I explained what base does, she looked so pissed. I think whichever Starbucks had been making it for her had just been adding the base and not telling her. I ended up refunding her.

Have you tried adding more milk? The "base" is mostly acting as extra liquid, so adding more milk should thin it out enough to blend properly.

Yeah I didn’t shake it because last time I tried to, the top popped off (I assume from the hot temp of the shots and the compressed space from the shaker) and I burned my arm.

I had someone order an iced americano last night. Asked her how she wanted me to leave it, fill it with water or leave it with space for ice. I was not going to give her the option of telling me to fill it with espresso or the heavy cream she wanted me to use. Since the point of no ice was I guess so it wouldn't get watery before she went to work we ended up just leaving space.
I truly wish people would learn about the drinks they are ordering, but that seems to only happen with a very few people.

Listen to this one... I had someone yell at me for a drink that’s not even theirs. I was making an iced Americano & this man said “why are you filling my latte with water? I asked for an iced latte with almond milk!” And then when I ignored him and called the customers name/ iced americano, he proceeded to tell the customer that I watered their coffee down... I can’t make this shit up man.

Did he see it and ask why it wasn't full? (We have a guy who orders these light ice and light 2% and the first time was like "why isn't it full" and we had to explain why. He was upset. But impressively understood. Still orders it the same way though. Never changed.

A grande double shot on ice doesn’t actually get two shots, it gets three. The point is this comes out as a hot drink when you ask for it without ice so it’s not actually a double shot on ice it’s just hot espresso

A grande Starbucks double shot on ice comes with 3 shots & it is shaken with ice. It also comes with classic syrup and 2% milk by default. So it would be dumb for someone to make all these modifications when you can take less steps and order a triple shot and add almond milk and cinnamon dolce... I believe it is also cheaper to order the triple shot.
