So I went to a Starbucks location today on the way to my second job. When I gave them my partner numbers they said they needed my ID to allow me to get my free food and drink (self.starbucksbaristas)

Technically we were always supposed to.
But now theres a new tiktok scam where someone noticed our partner numbers are on receipts and random people are using them to get free food/drinks. So get used to it until they recognize you. Been a topic on this sub for awhile.

Neither did most of us, but they’re there and that’s why you’re going to continue to get IDed.

You can get around it by using your partner card on the sbux app. That counts as ID

because of the abuse potential they may still ask you for ID. Not really sure why people are surprised that redeeming employee benefits should require demonstrating that you are, indeed, an employee.
