Are you guys allowed to have group chats with the partners at your store? Just like for scheduling and information

We have a Snapchat group with partners that want to be in it. We started when we were closed for two months because our manager told us we had to stay in touch with each other to check up on everyone and haha it became the biggest shit posting snap group I've ever been in 😂

My manager keeps one for updates and makes sure only current partners are in it.

My district has a mandated crew app. As a shift I was expected to be on call and attentive in the app at all times. It fucking sucks ass

I'm pretty sure they can't stop you.

We had one for updates and people kept using it to find coverage. My SM kept saying stop using the chat to find coverage or call out, just text people directly. But then sometimes my SM would use it to ask people if they wanted to cover shifts. Not sure if it’s different because technically it wasn’t my SMs responsibility to get some of these shifts covered.

My manager deleted our GroupMe run by her and then made us get rid of our barista/shift one:/

We have a chat with entire store in it. It ranges from asking if someone can come in to “hey where did the ___ get put last night” to “Hey I love y’all “

I know work group chats skew kind of illegal because it can be considered working off the clock.
