Tomorrow I am having a meeting with my DM. My Sm wants me to promote. I just become a barista trainer and starting training my first green bean this week.
My SM said she just wants to get to know me and see what I’ve been doing to make myself heard at the store.
Like coaching and encouraging partners.
Anyone have any advice on talking to a DM
She’s also going to be watching me during peak to see how I’m connecting and coaching

This isn't a super popular opinion, I've discovered, but DMs are just people like all the other people. I don't treat them pretty much any differently than anyone else I meet. Be polite, be friendly, but be yourself. If she asks questions, don't try to say what you think she wants to hear, just be honest. You get farther in life by being genuine and remembering that all humans are basically the same, than by trying to reinforce some kind of hierarchical structure.

Just an update: right after my meeting my SM told me I’m being promoted!!!
