Wtf. So they cancel one happy hour to appease us and then it’s right back to it. I’m so tired.

Ugh I have like a 8 hour shift today that goes from happy hour to close. I just wanna call out and sya I have covid fuck it.

I close tonight. One of our baristas called out for the week. So it’s gonna be like 4 of us from 3-close. And we also have curbside. So I don’t know how the fuck they can say that we’re ready for Happy Hour, when we clearly the fuck aren’t.

just curious, but does anyone know if there’s anything that can effectively be done as pushback for this? my store has a total of 2 shift supervisors and 4 baristas right now, we can NOT be staffing fully or safely for happy hours and my DM does not care/actively dislikes my manager :/

We were literally so incredibly short-staffed today. ARE incredibly short-staffed today. I was pissed. I opened this morning, and my shift was 15 minutes late. We BEGAN the day way behind. Then we were short staffed. Then I had a short shift, and if I didn’t have to register for grad school LITERALLY today, I 1000% would have stayed till closing to try and help out in some way. When I left, there were 6 people on staff, and we’re one of the BUSIEST stores in our district.

I was one coincidence away from having a 14-hour shift. F*ck Starbucks for not taking my coworkers and their health and safety into account, and for overworking them way above their pay grade.

i just find it funny how they cancelled the last one and didn't cancel this one... like what even was the point of them trying to be nice and cancel hh if they're just going to go right back to it like everything is magically better since two weeks ago

I’m an opening shift at my store and my boyfriend is one of the closing shifts, and we both work today, so I had to give him the bad news for happy hour today, which includes being out of caramel syrup, all refreshers except kiwi, classic syrup, vanilla syrup, toffeenut, hazelnut, almond milk. We also only have one bag of mocha left, and two bottles of sugar free vanilla. Oh and this is also his first happy hour as shift. I’m already preparing a nice dinner for when he gets home tonight 🥺

The Starbucks I work next to just had their drive thru box break down. It's 2:07 and these poor girls are hand taking orders. Not to mention, the typical drive thru lane has a median and these cars are wrapped around the side of it too. I feel so bad for them. :(

3 partners and myself stayed over an hour to help do what we couldn’t do before hh because we had a line all day!!! Dt and cafe has a like since the second I walked in this am. This is getting out of control. I worked 7 hours and got a 10, I sent one of my baristas on a 10 at 1:30, we were off at 2! She stayed and did the trash, I restocked and did the CBIC, another SSV did the money, and another barista finished making the whips that we had been trying to make!!! Godspeed my fellow beans! 💚

Dude I fucking feel it. I’ve worked 20 days in a row recently and was about to work another 20 if my amazing shift didn’t find coverage for one of my upcoming shifts.

Was adequately staffed, with really good leadership, on window for only 2.5 hours of happy hour (our blocks split it in half) and emotionally/mentally I feel like I've been hit by a truck. I came in on my day off and i was on cold bar for the last 4 hrs (one more hour to go! Wooooo!!) During happy hour and my whole body is sweaty.

Also... why do they call it happy "hour" when the promotion is good for 5 hrs 🤔

Yea yesterday during happy hour was my first shift since training...we had 5 people working including myself, people were in the drive through for up to 20 minutes...I wanted to die o_o

Lol with covid do people still order 15 frappuccinos and go the bar and demand if their drinks are ready the next 2 mins?
