Straw-less by 2020 (self.starbucksbaristas)

Does anyone else remember the pledge starbucks made? Straws in Frappuccinos is still not straw less. Also customers are just
shoving straws in the new lids. So your new lids are also a waste. I’m very disappointed in their solutions.

I have lots of customers shove straws into hot lids. So maybe this is plan to launch a line of $1 reusable straws.

We have straws that we sell for a dollar. We sell them, but I never see people using them. I live in a pretty granola city too.

as much as i hate it because capitalism towards a multi-billion dollar company.. that is actually a great idea to finally cease the purpose ordering plastic straws to the stores

The amount of people who ask for a straw with their nitro lid is infuriating. We should play nat geo documentaries of dead turtles on a giant screen in the drive through while they are waiting for 45 minutes during fucking frappy hour.

I’ve noticed a steady decline in people asking for straws in my store - we’ve had the new lids for about a year. Down south they still have old straws (at least in all the states I’ve been in this week).

I’m not sure how you make the frap lids strawless with the amount of whip that goes on them.

...or better yet, let’s get rid of Frappuccinos.
And cloud, and refreshers, cold foam bugs me too but it’s good so it can stay.

I’d settle for just getting rid of clouds. Lol

They could at least make the straws compostable.

Yeah most people will get used to the strawless lid after a while

I started with Frappuccinos because the are the only drink that you need a straw.

The nitro lids also are made with more plastic than the old lids and straws combined.

Nitro lids are recyclable. Disposable straws aren't.

Also it has to do with the shape the straws are. They are more dangerous to wildlife in theory because of shape
