Just a little rant. (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Reah_Industries
A little rant, but I don't really feel like a barista. I've expressed my wish to be stationed in bar several times in the past, but I always end up back in Drive through. I understand that I'm slow on bar, but how can I get faster if I never get put on bar? I also seem to be the one selected to run around and multi-task, and while I'm fine with that, it gets overwhelming at times. Like I said, I've expressed this before, but I feel that bringing it up with my managers at this point would just be whining.

Also, I can't quit, so don't suggest it.

During a slow time, ask your playcaller if you can get in some bar practice *right now*.

I definitely know what you mean. I am chained to pos and warming and usually I’ll have to brew coffee and run in the back for everyone (so CS as well) so I’m lucky to even make the drinks for myself on break. Not sure how it is at your store but I am always scheduled with shifts and coffee masters so there’s no hope for me lol

They call it "aces in their places" in an effort to make you feel valued, but it really does burn me out. I can't be the shiny penny on DTR for 6.5 hours. I'm exhausted from being so fake and friendly.
