This happens sooooooo much in my store. Bar is my place to be but ever since people stared doing stuff like this it started to kill my soul. Like how do you make this the same twice? You simply cannot and that’s where the complaining comes in. Customers need to understand that ordering off menu drinks or modify a drink heavily it will always result in your drink never be made with and kind of consistency or standard for that matter.

As a former partner who had to use the app recently, it’s so easy to just smash all the buttons since they are there. I noticed this on another app (chipotle) since I work from home. Like why not pick all the options! The SBUX one was though, if you select any item then change it I think it reverts to the standard but keeps the item on the order. Like a grande latte, pick a venti cup on accident, going to back to a grande cup will still make that print out even if it’s standards. that’s not an exact example, but the concept is there. it made me realize how people can make the most effed up drink imaginable. In person a barista would be like “well maybe not adding 39 pumps of vanilla and ice to an extra hot latte with extra caramel syrup + peppermint + light ice + dragon guilt inclusions is not going to be a great drink”.

Smash buttons = bang for dollar and diabetes
