These were discontinued a very long time ago and were most likely bought off the internet. Our store does not take them due to multiple instances of scamming. I suppose it is up to your SM but I would advise against it.

This. They're not valid anymore and they were easy to reproduce so that's why we switched to cards. People sell whole stacks of them online

There discontinued very long time ago. Do not accept them. They are easy to fake and that’s why Starbucks decided to go with the cards instead of these. I repeat, do not take them. If you do, you might (or will) get in trouble with your SM for “theft” since technically you will be giving out free drinks.

I always say “oh, I’m so sorry. These were discontinued years ago because people were selling them on the internet.” Normally they are too embarrassed to put up a fight because that’s exactly how they got it. Call the behavior out without accusing the person. 🤷🏻♀️
