I started working at Starbucks in Dec. Of 2019 since then I've been out sick a lot. I have chronic asthma and allergies I've had bronchitis 9 times in the last year, and with all the fires going around in California I've been really sick (I live in the central valley). I tried my best all week to perverse but this morning I woke up gasping for air, for days I felt like I haven't been able to take a deep breath. So I texted my boss and she said okay, and were you late yesterday?. Now I'm scared I'm going to get fired for my attendance. I always make sure I go to the doctor and get a note everytime I call out but still feel like she wants me gone. Btw I've been late three times and everytime I've called to let my shift know.

She can’t fire you without write ups as proof. Per your previous answer about not being written up yet.
I used to have a shitty coworker who no called no showed at least half a dozen times and was hours late to his shift at least a dozen times and couldn’t be fired until his 3rd write up. (Not that you’re a shitty worker he just was lol)

Have you been written up any of those times?

No I was scheduled for a one on with my manager today, but I can't make it. But I know she has been getting on people for this, and the last time we had a connect she basically said i was already on thin ice.

I’d imagine you’re just going to get written up. I’ve never heard of anyone getting fired for attendance issues without at least one prior write up- except for no call no showing.
