Any tips for a green bean? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hii so I just finished my first week of training and I still get overwhelmed with everything. I was trained on making drinks, drive thru, register oven, stocks, clean play, etc. However, I still sometimes don’t know what to do. I mean I know what to do but don’t know how routine works. I mean is it okay to wash dishes or do stocks etc? Or should I ask my shift what to do. I want to take initiative but I’m scared I might take them slower and make something wrong. And I don’t want to be standing there while all of them are busy doing things. It’s my first time working in a fast paced environment and I’m still trying to adapt. Hope you guys can give me tips to overcome my anxiety or get a hold of what are the priorities, etc.

You’ll learn as you go. I’m a month in almost and I’ve got the register and drive thru order down. Now I’m just trying to better my skills at customer support and bar. The more you get put in the situation of being somewhere you normally aren’t comfortable in the better you’ll get. I was running customer support today for my 3rd time ever within the month of my time being there and I had more improvement on quickly restocking and making whatever was needed

Give it 6 months to feel comfortable and know all you need to know. Then give it another 6 months to be REALLY good at all it. Patience, grasshopper.
