This happens with any limited edition merchandise honestly. Before working here and getting the cups Bc they look neat, I got into Disney pins and the same thing happened there. People would buy a good portion of limited edition items, and resell them for lots more than the retail price. Disney ended up putting a limit on how many LE things someone could buy and that seemed to help a bit. My only hope is that starbucks does the same, if they do keep up with the limited edition things.
I’ve heard of some licensed stores putting a limit per person or household, which sounds great!

Unfortunately it's pretty common. I'm about to have a conversation with my SM about a woman near me who's doing the same thing. She came in and bought all our regular venti iced cups and then came in the next day to see if we got more. The thing that made me really upset was I had a customer call to ask if we had any and when I told him what happened he said he'd called three other stores and they all told him the same thing.

Our manager specifically said not to sell more than two per person for the new studded cups. I was off for launch, i come back and there are NONE. Its so strange to me. Yeah, theyre pretty and i wanted one, but that seems excessive.

Our stuff got put out Monday. The rainbow studded made it to the end of my shift and I clocked out and bought one. The next morning at 501 some chick came in and bought every single one of our seasonal cold cups, and 5 of the hot cups. Our shelves are totally empty except for coffee. I bet this bitch bought all the toilet paper and hand sanitizer at the beginning of covid too. People need to quick being price gouging dicks.
