i don’t get how my sm can fire one of our shifts for making a tiktok on his lunch, outside the store, about a mock funeral for a fly that died inside, but @starbucksrecipeswithm, on tiktok, still has a job and is recording herself making drinks in full uniform, behind the bar.

Because her manager probably doesn’t care or doesn’t know about TikTok, or is in on it

But the manager just straight up fired a person for making a Tik Tok? Did I miss something here?
mykotman1215 points2y ago
I’m saying the manager of the @starbucksrecipeswithm doesn’t care about her making TikToks. The partner who got fired had a manager who is strict with following starbucks policies.

I guess it implies that the store is dirty and has flies whereas @starbucksrecipeswithm is selling drinks, maybe?

It’s honestly a PSA in my opinion. Customers should know about the flies. Now serving Musca Latte and Musca Frappuccino.

Okay but can we see the TikTok

The company does have a pretty strict policy involving social media use in the store or in uniform, so unfortunately it was justified. I suppose it's kind of up to the SM how well this policy is enforced
echowolf93 points2y ago
But it wasn’t in the store
sonothipster-1 points2y ago
I mean if they were in uniform or representing the company in any way. For all I know your SM had a list of reasons to fire them. Maybe they didn't. I'm not saying I agree with that decision, all I'm saying is there is a policy against it
