Soo it took me like one month because my manager had me do 4 coffee tastings two with partners and two with customers.

This might be why you got it. I’ve heard that completing Coffee Academy at a *licensed* store would get you the Coffee Master apron, but it doesn’t apply to those of us at corporate stores.

Actually the new Coffee Academy is the Coffee master program therefore my manager ordered some for my self and another SSV who completed the program and the tastings

The were not orderable for the longest time, but they randomly popped back up on store orders maybe a month ago in IMS. Same place you order regular green aprons and whatnot

SM can order one and give it to someone yes. But if you want to “earn” it, right now there is no official way for corporate stores to do so. Only for licensed

so I really worked the gap year they never shipped black aprons wishing I had the opportunity to get one bc I’m so into coffee. then quit right before they started again... ight.

i'm super jelly... I started the monday after black friday 2016 (at a mall store)... within a few months I mentioned I was interested... at the time it was on hold... then it was no longer avl... shortly before covid the new program became a thing... so I literally tried for years and couldn't get it... I did have a few old partners willing to give me a coffee master apron... but I just wanted the dang class... I knew more about coffee than our Coffee masters... but I wanted the specific info that bux had lol...
oh well... I actually enjoy my new job and don't get abused over stupid things anymore... plus I get paid to throw axes ;-)

My point is, that’s not how you earn it. Awesome for you that your manager let you have it, but don’t give others false hope that they can get it by completing the course. As a real coffee master myself, it kind sucks hearing it was so easy for you to get the apron. The original program was practically a whole class we had to take, we had to do a TON of tastings throughout time, we had to show a real passion for coffee and at the end we had to do a professional presentation/test. I had heard of some people failing it. Once again, awesome for you, but others will not revive the same outcome from completion as you did.

Yeah, I’d wish that too. I have a shift that bought one from coffee gear and didn’t have the integrity. I have all green aprons so. Coffee gear to me is a scam
