Obviously youre the only one who can really make that decision, but honestly my advice to you would be to leave. This job is AWFUL on mental health, I also had a full on breakdown today when I got home. If youre not using the benefits (medical/ASU/lyra) then i would say leave. You can find a better paying job that wont ruin your mental health like this one.

You’re the only one who can decide if it’s worth it to you. It’s worth it to me because of the benefits, but I don’t see how that effects you. Think about what you want, what your options are, and what’s realistic for your situation.

Good luck.

Use the university benefits and get out of there on good terms. There are plenty of cash gigs for loot on the side

PSL x10 and people get even crankier during the holidays...I’ve been there for a year now and I stick around because of the benefits. If it weren’t for the 401k matching + stock options I’d be out. I’m in college too and every shift, even the four hour baby ones, leave me drained. If the benefits don’t make you want to stay then leave.

I’m a rehire (218). Just started a month ago. The first time I left, I cried because I loved the job and my coworkers. I am now leaving this week after a month because it has completely stripped my mental health, the coworkers gossip about everyone and the overall pressure to be everything is too much. It wasn’t this bad before. I now don’t even want to be a customer of the company. My advice is to leave but I may be biased. Look around. There are opportunities that may benefit you and being you more happiness.

Let’s be real, the partners gossiped when you worked last but you were in on it so it didn’t seem so bad.

Starbucks partners gossip, it’s how we pass the time.

Actually they didn’t. They might have on a different shift, but when I closed we literally just talked about school and focused on working. Sorry that has been your experience.

Ive worked here for a few years. They dont give individual raises. They only give company wide raises to keep up with minimum wage.

After my time spent here, Ive got hardly anything out of it. Starbucks isnt the only job at this level that gives stock shares and health insurance. And their stocks hardly go up. Along with individual assessments and gives raises of about $0.50-1.00 1 or 2 times a year. Companies are out there that actually give back to your loyalty.

The only reason Ive stayed for now is because Im getting more than 30 hours a week and can handle stressful situations. My store is having a bit of trouble hiring people, and I feel we're going to have a fair amount of quitters. The store closes if we're too understaffed. But still paid our hours.

If the company actually did them, they'd basically just be an assessment to see how well you've been improving and contributing to the store's success.
