It drives me nuts that whenever I ask someone to repeat themselves, their first instinct is to remove the mask. How about we try speaking up and enunciating first hmmmmm?

had a lady today come in without a mask and when we kindly offered her one she said “get that out of my f**cking face” and stormed out

sounds like you won the lottery with that one!

I mean... it could’ve been worse. She could’ve stayed 🤷🏼♀️

Looks like that problem solved itself!

Omg yes! Just speak up! I have to tell people who whisper there's a mask, a plexiglas shield and a half dozen things behind me making noise constantly. I've literally had to tell people to put the mask back on and speak loudly like you're at the drive thru.

Or worse is when they just mumble all the god damn time and so whem you ask them to repeat themselves twice or more they start yelling and getting aggressive even at the window

I literally almost broke down yesterday because people wouldn't speak up and kept laughing at me

I dislike people like that, in my store there’s this woman who comes with her husband. When she walks in she has her mask on but when she gets to the register she takes it off and says her order and so does her husband. None of the shift say anything because they’re friends with her, I had to tell my SM about it and they got upset with me. She stopped for a while but is doing it again and I don’t know what to do about it anymore.

At my store I just try to interrupt people as nicely as I can and say “I’m sorry, can you just pull/keep that mask up over your nose for me?” Then I thank them immediately when they do it. A majority of people say “oops!” and jump to put it back on correctly.

I think most people don’t really notice that they’re wearing it incorrectly. Like they forget it’s there or something

i have hearing issues even without the mask and i've just started telling people that. 'please keep your mask on, that's not why i can't hear you, i just have bad ears' and usually that gets them to speak up but there are always people who act like the mask just completely eliminates their ability to function 🙄
