I don’t see how in the world your manager would not accept that if someone you literally breathe air with at night and all day has symptoms. So irresponsible. In the middle of a pandemic, that note SHOULD be more important than what your manager says. It’s not worth the risk to you, your coworkers, or customers. I would go to your DM and ask, I just don’t see why that’s the message Starbucks is giving out to it’s employees.

I believe our store is having similar and had the same response. They said our policy “has updated” so that this is okay now. I don’t agree with it whatsoever. My suggestion is you go get tested ASAP so you can come back with a positive soon and stop coming in.

My roomate and boyfriend had to get covid tests from being exposed while going out, and my manager was like no you’re fine to come in. Did not even care about the possibility of me spreading it to more people. He even told me to practice social distancing with my roomate and boyfriend lol. Yeah ok dude

yeah my shift and i noticed last week that the covid surveys we take on the ipad had updated the response to the question about being around someone exposed/positive and it basically says do nothing and just come in to work 🙃
