Hello, I have a interview for Starbucks inside of a Kroger is there any advice you could give and if I do get hired what would you recommend for someone like me who’s shy and kinda stutters. I’m kinda nervous cause I’m afraid I won’t get more pay and not understand how to make anything.
And another thing I hand a interview at another grocery store that has a Starbucks inside and the said pay a little higher then Kroger but the only I could get that position is if I take a cashier position to get my foot in the door . Should I take or should I for another one store?

I wouldnt recommend working at a licensed starbucks vs a standalone. I work at one in a safeway and it's like a few cents pay raise every few years, and no benefits or discounts.

Im my Albertsons, i started at $10 and we get 5% off of national brands and 10% off store brands. No benefits for school and stuff unless you're full time and grocery stores dont want you to have full time hours but want to work you full time.

I have couple options, I kinda don’t let go yet but maybe they’ll negotiate

Hey! I was a licensed barista before applying to a corporate store! Honestly, I’d recommend just working at a licensed store long enough to learn as much as you can. Study the recipes, read the updates and whatever you can, then go apply at a corporate store. OR switch to a different department in the grocery where you can make more money. I worked for Kroger and honestly it sucked. The union did nothing for us but they sure collected their union dues from our checks every week. Starbucks offers better benefits. Covid has made working at sbux soul sucking so maybe ride out that licensed position until things normalize, then gtfo. Smile a lot in your interview. Works wonders :)

I really wanted to for a licensed Starbucks inside of a Tom Thumb but my hours I chose didn’t work for them , they said I could at least get my foot in the door by taking a cashier position, I feel like I turned down Tom Thumb to soon . Thanks for the advice hopefully Kroger doesn’t offer too low of a pay

when you work at starbucks you work every role in the store- register, bar, etc. so you’ll do every once hired good luck on your interview!

i work at a corporate store, but im assuming you’ll simply go through training. it takes a while to learn everything so you’ll probably start working mainly on register

That sounds like a good start , should I negotiate for more pay or does it go up the longer you work there or does depend on the grocery store you work for
