I have to go to a different location for further training (self.starbucksbaristas)

Do I just walk in and be like “hey, I’m from x location and they sent me here for training” or what? I’ve only been working at Starbucks for about 2 weeks and I just happened to look at the schedule and it says I’m at the other location from 6am-10am and I go back to my store 10am to 2:15pm...

Double check w your store manager if that’s actually what’s going down cuz that’s kinda weird (at least I personally haven’t encountered that) and if the schedule is right then they will be expecting you and know you’re coming which should make it a little less awkward

Yeah I asked my SM about it and that’s what I’m doing! It’s just strange to me, haha. I worked in a small town before where we didn’t have the same restaurant half a mile of each other! (Not Starbucks, we didn’t even have one there, different place) someone else from my store will be there that day too, not sure if they’re training or what but I won’t be alone, so it’s a bit better at least

Since you confirmed that yes, that’s the plan…
Basically show up a couple of minutes, introduce yourself to the first partner you see and they’ll probably already know that you’re expected. If not, ask for the shift lead/store manager and they’ll definitely know you’re supposed to be there and get you started.
(I did something similar when I was called in to cover a shift at a second store for the first time… now I effectively work both locations.)

Thank you!! I went i they were so nice. They also don’t have a drive thru! That alone made think about switching lol. They also have cute stickers all over the place!

I used to work at a training store where I would train in mine, and then send them off to their own store after training was finished...It’s not uncommon depending on the district...So..yes, Say that. Double check with your manager of course.
