Negotiating pay as a re-hire? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I’ve worked on and off at Starbucks since I was 16, with a grand total of 4 1/2 years barista experience (all in Florida). I was paid $9.32 when I left the company. Would it be unreasonable to ask for more than that, and if so, how much could I get?

I dont believe it would be unreasonable to ask for, say, $10? I dont know how much higher you could shoot for without ruffling some feathers.

First of all, check what minimum wage is for your area. Definitely don’t ask for lower than that. :) and depending on how much time was in between you leaving and returning take into account cost of living increases.
