Sorry (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by 1b1rd
I did a lot of defending starbucks and singing my manager's praises. I thought it was cool she wanted to get to know everyone and was on the floor with us. They put me in my worst positions on days I confided being in a bad state and put my store manager on the floor near me so they could accumulate the evidence for a corrective action. I'm a barista trainer, no one's had issues with me before, but I feel like I've been put on display to be "put in my place". I had to sign off on a statement calling me a burden to my team.

Sorry to anyone who felt gaslighted when I said it wasn't that bad. I still want anyone who can to keep a positive outlook and only put as much in as they're okay with giving. Love and appreciate all my partners.

Make sure you have a copy of that corrective action. That sounds like an inappropriate and unprofessionally written write up. I’d also consider joining the dark side at the unionizestarbucks subreddit. And maybe transferring. Awful.

I stayed at this one bc I've been an integral part of digging it out of the dumpster fire it was in before covid. It's finally stable now and I love my block family, but if leaving the block she's in still leaves me miserable I'm gonna have to switch somewhere lower pressure.

Wow, I am soooooo sorry to hear this!!!!

This is the exact reason why I left Starbucks, the stuff (nice way of putting it) that we had to put up with, especially from some other co-workers and the manager, made the job horrible.

Not every store is like this, so maybe think about transferring if that's an option. I wish you the best of luck!!!!!
