What would I say to a manager at Starbucks about a role I applied for online? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I applied for a job at Starbucks and I wanted to call the manager and ask them about the role I applied for? How would I word it so that it doesn’t sound like I’m being pushy about them hiring me?

Be pushy. Some managers need a kick to go through the effort of hiring someone. Don’t be rude, but be assertive.
“Hi, I submitted an application on <date> and haven’t heard back. Are you still hiring?”
