I feel like death (self.starbucksbaristas)

Literally, what the fuck. I worked 8 hours. My back is so sore I literally almost cried when I had to force myself to sit straight when I drove home from work. I’m exhausted beyond exhaustion. I have hours of studying to do for my college classes and I don’t think I’ll be able to even do 3 hours worth. I had coffee on my face, in my hair on my clothes on my shoes on my glasses, took a shower and I can still smell it. I knew it was going to be a bad day when I woke up 10 minutes before I was supposed to be at work

I don’t know what it is about Starbucks that gives the WORST back pain but geez. I’ve never worked anywhere else where my back had stabbing pains like on the brink of tears. And I have high pain tolerance. I just left the company today and my body already feels better.

Our counters are too low! I’m 5’7 and if I bar for more than an hour my back kills me.

yes, exactly! i've heard they're that low so that disabled partners could work, but like... how tf is anyone in a wheelchair going to be able to work here??? there is barely even space for one to get in, let alone turn around and do all the quick work required on bar.

Maybe it's one of those situations of someone technically could but they wouldn't let someone actually do it

Same! I was fine until I started dishes. Then I literally felt like my back my broken. I mean, I worked at a restaurant where I was lifting 70 pounds in supplies regularly and yet, washing a sink of sweet cream pitchers is what ruined me

Ugh it is horrible. Mine usually kicks in around dishes or scooping ice too. I just physically or mentally can’t do it anymore. And I’m so young?? Why do I feel this broken
