Generally anything you need to know will be taught during training. Some knowledge of coffee certainly helps but for the most part, it’s all on the job learning.

But what criteria is necessary? Is there an education level they care about? I didn’t go to college...

Lol college is not needed. We hire high schoolers
alycrawford42-3 points2y ago
Lmao I didn’t either. We’ve got a girl who just graduated high school and one who still is in high school. Education usually isn’t a big factor, as long as you’re professional in your interview and demonstrate a willingness to learn

im a senior in hs, but i think the biggest thing that helps is having good availability (i was mostly available late afternoon-close which was what my store needed) and selling yourself at the interview

Open availability and a poor sense of self worth. They want someone they can roll over easy

Open availability
Like seriously that’s it. Everything else they’ll teach you

Patience and strong will because they’ll tear you down, the customers the work the understaffed stores. I’ve worked in a lot of places and a variety of types of work and this honestly has been the most gruesome one for me. I go home physically and mentally destroyed.

Patience. A lot of it

I can only speak for how my manager approaches new hires, but the most enticing quality would be an open availability. It’s dumb, but it’s what gets her attention. I obviously can’t speak for any other store though
