Oh man the mobile orders always start coming $1

Isn’t it such a great feeling to yell out peoples names that won’t show up for 20 minutes while cafe orders just stare at you like you’re a jerk for not making their drink. Also, both of our bars were not working for the first 5 hours of the day so we were able to turn off the mobile app!!!

There were an insane amount of mobiles today...and for what. I would think people would be packing the beach for Labor Day weekend.

I too was on warming this morning! There was a butter croissant that was mobile ordered and I heard another one being ordered in the drive thru so I threw 2 in the oven and then had to pull ~10 stickers before I got to the DT croissant

Is your SM willing to shut off mobile for a minute? My store manager turns off MOP if we’re down too many partners, or if it’s just exceptionally crazy. We’re the second busiest store in the district though

I was on bar for 5 hours straight, no breaks, and it was literally non stop mobiles. We did not have one lull or break for even a second. It was absolute hell.

Same. Our mobile sticker comes out the same machine as our cafe, for every cafe order, there was 4-5 multiple drink orders behind it.

Yeah I wish they would do something because during peak every day we end up with so many mobiles that our lobby is packed, dt is to the street, and there's a line in cafe to place orders.

I heard from one of my managers yesterday that the system is now holding the release of a order to the printer based on where the order was placed in relation to the store… so someone who orders and is 5 minutes away should print before someone who was 20 minutes away prints. It was causing artificial rushes especially when the one warming printer manages both cafe and mobile orders and it’s printing 20+ mobile orders before the cafe orders that are waiting in the store… until we have to tell some people to wait outside due to reduced pandemic occupancy limits.

I’m at a very very high volume location in the Houston suburbs and we started curbside a week before we opened our cafe. Well, let’s just say it takes 8-9 partners to run morning peak comfortably with out the added curbside. Now only scheduled 6 partners and make one of them run outside every 3 minutes often pushing their way through the 8 people standing about waiting to pick up their orders after shouting “Drive-Thru get your own warming!” Only to come back in to 15 food stickers. This is my life now. Upside? I get more than half my daily steps in from a 4 hour shift.

friday we had an 11 drink mobile order come through in the middle of peak with 4 people on the floor, we all wanted to die LMAOOO and today was somehow worse but at least we had more people working. i’m doing 8 hour shifts like 10 days in a row it’s just nuts dude

The past two days I’ve worked it’s been like this.. like 30+ stickers and people flooding the cafe. Insanity lmao

The worst are the Ubereats deliveries. My dt store will have 15 different deliveries during peak.

my store has been really slow to introduce mobile order and pay but every day it’s just DT mayhem. takes 10x longer to do a 2 minute task because there’s just an endless stream of cars

My store is the same, we get all the mobiles in giant clusters. it’s horrible. we also get most mobiles in our district, or at least use to... i’m sure other stores have more now cus of covid
