I have my interview for becoming a new SSV at my store on Monday and I’m not sure what to expect. Any suggestions on what to prepare for? I’ve been at sbux for about a year and a half now for context (264****)

As far as I know the interviews are new. Im not sure what to expect other for them to get a judge of your character, knowing you are a master of your craft and can handle difficult situations with both customers and partners. One thing I did not realize is a big part of being a shift is coaching. You have to coach your partners to becoming better baristas whether it is something easy like sequencing or something more challenging like attitude.

I haven’t heard anything about when the interviews started happening either but I’m doing it along with 2 other partners from my store so I’m pretty anxious. I feel pretty confident in my skills so I’ll make sure to just keep that in mind!

Exactly. Just be confident in your skills and I'm sure you will be fine. Worst case is if you dont get it, you will get a chance to work on your skills. Maybe ask your manager about being a barista trainer.

I managed to snag that right after we got back from COVID my manager had so many new hires so I definitely took advantage to become a trainer!

Partner hub has the interview questions published. If you just search for them in the search bar you should be able to find them :) I did it for my shift interview a year ago and I had awesome answers for everything lol
edit: I just realized that today is Monday. I hope your interview went well!

Felt like it went well! Only answer I didn’t feel too strong about was the “what is something that you felt different about, who did you approach, and what opinions did you get back”. I’m just not very confrontational so I usually bite my tongue with things I don’t agree with, didn’t really have a good one for that.

Outside hired as an SSV. Customer service experience got me the job. Focus on coaching and customer service. Making moments right, etc.

When I interviewed (about a month ago) it was mostly about connections, how you get along with partners, do you have any differing view points. Things like that. I actually have a print out of the exactly questions they ask lol

If you could share that I would GREATLY appreciate it!

Yes!! I will try to find it!! I know for a fact i had to tell about a time when I connected with a customer who who was quiet/someone that’s hard to connect with, how did my view points differ from my partners, tell a time I coached, tell a time I coached and the person didn’t take it well and how I handled that
