I had a girl come back because she forgot her frap in the car while she went shipping and it melted so she wanted a new one 🙄
_Xeith_93 points2y ago
Yo same! Mine came back after 6 hours and I was like “...Well it’s been 6 hours of course it melted ma’am” and apparently she was told before she can exchange it if that ever happened 🙂 I still told her no though tbh as bad as that may be
amazing_redhead62 points2y ago
It's not bad, that's a totally ridiculous request
_Xeith_36 points2y ago
I’m just so tired of these ridiculous request I really am not having it anymore and declining like all the crazy request we’ve had and people using “it’s customer service” as an excuse, like nope, plus with labor cut and all it’s been stressful and had me lose my joy in the job
ecliptxcenpi [OP]36 points2y ago
like, i get just saying “hey this doesn’t taste good can i get a new one” but what got me was them being mad when i said we can remake their refresher but a pink drink costs more so they’d have to pay
[deleted]11 points2y ago
Good for you ! There’s no reason you should feel obligated to fulfill absolutely insane requests. And a good manager will always have your back if they want to throw a fit.
radpandaparty2 points2y ago
> “hey this doesn’t taste good can i get a new one”
Even that is dumb imo. A drink can be made perfectly and you just might not like it. I feel like you should just suck it up instead of wasting food and people's time.
astivana2 points2y ago
Tbf I think it is policy to remake drinks if they order something and they hate it? Idk I feel like I’d be less annoyed with “hey I wanted to try something new and it turns out this isn’t my jam, can I have [standard order]?” than “hey I forgot to ask for whip on this, can you remake it to add whip because you can’t take it back and I didn’t tell you before you gave it to me?”

We have a customer who does this at least once every week. It’s a stupid ass drink, too. Grande or tall white mocha Frappuccino with 3 or 4 shots, light ice, add frap chips, double blended in a venti cup. She always has something wrong with it and will usually come back at the end of the day with this gross cup in her hand and a disgusted look on her face. Like, ma’am, you ordered that abomination. My manager, of course, says we have to make the moment right. So we remake it and she still claims it doesn’t taste right. I don’t understand it at all.

I had a customer do this almost daily but with an extremely modified chai latte. Always a problem but the drink would be half gone.
sharkoss49 points2y ago
There was a customer who picked up her mobile ordered fraps and then came back 30 minutes later just to shake the melted fraps in my face saying “this is unacceptable” ?¿????¿?
ecliptxcenpi [OP]43 points2y ago
ice,,,,,,melts,,,,,,,,, its the same as people that mobile and let the stuff sit there for an hour so its all melted/cooled down then the complain. like, its not our fault you didn’t pay attention to when the drink should be ready and pick it up close to that time 🤷

I literally had a lady call and say her husband kept ordering food and it was cold by the time it got home. The kicker was she said it was PUTTING A STRAIN ON HER MARRIAGE and CAUSING THEM TO FIGHT.
I was like. ... lady you dont need a manager you need a lawyer.
smilygirrl1212 points2y ago
This reminds me of a time when a customer ordered a frap with an add affogato shot. By the time he got to the window the shot would have already made it to the bottom of the cup and he would complain it wasn't affogato. We would remake it and he would complain again. Sir, I can't control gravity!
sharkoss9 points2y ago
Oh MAN we have a lady that orders extra caramel drizzle except she wants it completely coating the side of the cup with none of it on the bottom. We’ve tried to explain to her how gravity works but she’ll refuse to take her drink if any of the caramel drips to the bottom,,,, I get so stressed every time she comes by.

Or a counselor
anselgrey3 points2y ago
Or a reality check.
normaldud16 points2y ago
We have a regular who will sit outside with his venti latte with extra whipped cream for 30 minutes and come inside saying we forgot it when it melted because he let it sit for 30 minutes

I had a customer finish her frap and then come back up to get a “hot tea refill” and I was like ...you didn’t have tea???... and she said that because we don’t offer discounted frap refills she should get the discounted tea refill because the frap is so expensive. Um, no that’s the price and if you don’t like it maybe order tea next time???
KeyCranberry4 points2y ago
They make the policy very difficult to understand (I think on purpose) but as far as I can tell the letter of the law says yes:
A customer can get a refill of their choice of hot coffee/ice coffee/hot tea/iced tea no matter what the original drink is, but only if at least 30 minutes gave elapsed since they ordered it and they haven't left the store.
But that's just my interpretation of the policy and it's so vague it might as well be the Bible and scholars can argue over it until the end of time
cilantroprince1 points2y ago
that still doesn’t include handcrafted drinks
KaleSalad2011 points2y ago
My manager told me it had to be tea
Simplyroro1 points2y ago
There's no time listed. Look it up on the hub. Its same store same visit.
wanderer15221 points2y ago
That's how i understood at as well.

No
Didmyownresearch7 points2y ago
I don’t get paid enough to challenge anything a customer says, they could say they want it free and I’d do it. I care about starbucks as much as they care bout us.
strawbubbie_5 points2y ago
someone mobile ordered a cloud macchiato and it deflated while it was sitting out.... she comes in and says “that doesn’t look right” uh yeah bitch come get ur drink earlier then tf
coffeelovak_4 points2y ago
We’re a super busy store & we had this one guy who came through DT to pick up his mobile order & at the speaker box he told us “but I want it remade bc it’s probably all watered down” well sir you did order it an hour ago
JCaligirl4204 points2y ago
I had a lady come in and say out milk was bad becUse she ordered 4 quad tap hot mochas and then went shopping and left them in the car the whole time, the outside temp was about 110° that day and I told her you can’t leave stuff in the car when it’s hot like that 🤦♀️
messiyessi3 points2y ago
I had a customer order a coffee for her and her husband but when the wife came in she said if she can leave one of the drinks here, that her husband will be here shortly to come and pick it up. An hour goes by and the husband still isn’t here, instead he calls and asks if he can come by in 20 min because he got held up with something. I was like yeah sure no problem & remade it for him because it was gross at this point. ANOTHER HOUR PASSES BY and he calls again and said “sorry I forgot about the coffee can I get it remade and come by soon to pick it up?”🤦🏻♀️
yettidagawd1 points2y ago
Don’t bash me I could be wrong but as long as you don’t leave the establishment such as enjoying your drink outside on the patio your able to get refills on certain items
ecliptxcenpi [OP]1 points2y ago
our store is at an outdoor mall, so i believe that once they walk out the door into the mall they’ve technically left, and i remember they walked out and towards another store. not 100% sure tho, and it doesn’t really matter bc we still just made a second refresher for them.
