as a shift I try not to hold baristas over whatsoever. but I'm gonna ask baristas to leave their stations stocked and clean for the next person. do you wanna come to bar with no milk, no lids, no ice? chances are that's a no. and if each barista takes one part of restocking at hand off.. no one person stays more than an extra 2-3 minutes

Me ending up leaving 10 to 15 minutes late, cause she wants me to get ice, make sandwiches, restock fridges, and bake more cookies, just real quick before I leave

I generally tend to be okay with staying till the time I scheduled till but if I have to stay more than 5 minutes pass my scheduled shift I am the type of person to voice my annoyance. Sure, the times I scheduled I should stay for but if they are going to schedule me let’s say 10am-6:30pm but keep me like 15-30 minutes extra because they need a “trash run” or “a full restocking of all the store” then I straight up say something, just like they schedule us for certain shifts we schedule our lives around that shift, I don’t care if they are struggling with orders and they have someone on lunch still, if I have to go somewhere afterwards and have plans that should be respected, it’s one thing if they ask if it’s okay I stay extra because they really need the help but if they expect me to stay that’s when I get pissed off. One time I had one minute left so I just asked my shift if she wanted me to fill the ice bins really quickly before clocking off and then she told me to clean the drains before I’m off and I straight up told her I’m off in a minute that the most I can do is something quick like filling the ice bins or replacing the sanitizer
