We had this woman come in and order a Pink Drink with Breve. I made it for her, called her name and was about to finish a Macchiato when she says it’s “too light” and “doesn’t taste right”. I tell her she can keep the drink if she likes and I’ll make a new one for her. She proceeds to continue to complain about it not being right. I say I’ll make her a new one and she thanks me and asks me to throw it away. I turn around and make it the exact same way as before.

She grabbed the drink and took a sip.

“That’s much better!”

Yeah. Sure it was lady.

This happened a long time ago (i.e. way before the pandemic) but we had a customer that complained about Pike tasting “burnt” and asked us to brew a new batch. Shift took the cup back and waited 2 mins to bring it back to the customer. Customer takes it back and same as you, claims that it now tasted right. I was a new partner at this time and I was SHOOK😂😂😂

We had a lady order a CDL every day. EVERY FREAKING DAY she would send it back through the DT and say it tasted burnt. A barista had told her months before that it’s possible the shots sat too long and that’s the cause, so that was her complaint every day. Finally I just started taking the drink back from her, hanging onto over by bar for a minute and then brought the same drink back, and she would say it was so much better. Some people just need to complain.
