Terrible morale (self.starbucksbaristas)

Mini rant:
Is it just my store or is every store full of teenagers who are practically stepping all over each other trying to be the head "boss" of everyone with extremely obvious very little management experience and in turn decreasing productivity because the atmosphere then becomes inevitably tense? If not, I'm super jealous because I'm triggered daily by it.
Edit: Here I was thinking I'd work a great job to put myself through school and get insurance, but little did I know I would be going back to highschool except worse.

Lol no. All the teenagers at my store are indifferent because they are young and Starbucks isn’t gonna be their “real” job that they care about.

THAT'S THE KIND OF TEENAGERS I WANNA WORK WITH.

Yes!! That's my store and it's awful, I'm so over it. Everyone is mistrained and ~20 (including me lol) and everything is so petty and my SM is part of that. Morning shifts are favorited and take advantage of baristas and violate policy and standards while night is scrutinized. Morale is very low. Also no one wants to clean or knows how to do dishes bc it's like their mom still does it for them and this is their first job ever, things never get done aaaaaskflfldjgkflkf. I too am triggered daily. But I'm moving to a different area of my city so I'm hopeful for a transfer to a store where they actually just do their job and go home.

Gosh that sounds so terrible!! I can't definitely relate!! Hopefully your new store is better. I was thinking of transferring and that's partly why I wanted to know how it was at other stores!

Working with teens can be a nightmare. A few at my store left to go to college and there were a few weeks of bliss before we hired some new ones.

Hahaha I'm sure it was so nice to not have all that drama. Not saying that adults can't have drama, but it's just different between the groups!

We dont usually hire teenagers, and there's STILL so much unnecessary drama. Its to the point where we're having a whole come to Jesus meeting about it. People are just messy and immature.
