Tarbucks (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by gjroberts93
Hey,

Just got a job at a Tarbucks (in addition to working at my corporate Starbucks, we love hours cuts...) and was wondering if anyone could give me tips/what to expect? Mostly, how is the Tarbucks experience gonna be different than the corporate Starbucks experience?

Thanks!

Hi! I came from corporate to Tarbucks! you’ll be by yourself 90% of the time, your customers are mostly pregnant women and kids and people have no idea how to order. Management has no idea what to do when you need something and they usually won’t help because they aren’t trained and don’t know how. it’s really hard to get things fixed!! They do not prioritize anything from our department because again they aren’t trained so they do not care :) it’s not all bad but it’s definitely not corporate. It’s much slower!

Awesome. I know I got psyched when the person interviewing me said that you can only take two drink orders at a time, make them, and then you can take more orders. That's so fucking slow I can't wait, and I'm getting paid almost double what I get at my corporate Starbucks.

You will dance circles around all your coworkers. Do not go full speed or they will expect it all the time. Hold some back for emergencies.
