They shouldn’t be making you feel like garbage regardless. Talk to your manager and if they won’t do anything about the behavior, go above them.

Because sometimes partners agree to shifts that they can’t because it’s going to put them over on their hours. Because sometimes partners agree to cover shifts when they already had a shift during part of the shift they agreed to pick up. Because sometimes a strong partner wants to switch with a weak partner and a play that would have worked with the stronger partner won’t work with the weaker partner. Because it’s a safety requirement for your manager to know who is scheduled to be working in their store at any time.
Pick one.

Because they're a shitty person and shouldn't be a ssv. Report them to your sm or dm or if you dont feel comfortable going to them, to the partner contact center.

the only understandable reason I can think about (because my old manager used to think this way) is that maybe the people that are working your shift aren't doing as well as you would've if you made it in. so they kinda disturb the flow of the shift..
you still shouldn't be made to feel guilty for calling out. if you can't make it, then you can't. some people call out and don't even find their own coverage.

If you are sticking to your block, it shouldn’t be an issue. It’s not your job to worry about who’s stronger at certain things. As a shift, it is my job to figure out where to put partners where I think they’ll do best.
