But when the rush comes in I feel like I’m a burden to them. They don’t say it and maybe it’s in my head but sometimes they look at me and laugh. I got hired in March right before COVID and then didn’t come back to train until April in a different location. Then I started again in our location and it was fine and I was doing okay. Everyday I felt like I was learning more. Then they started cutting hours and I’ve only been getting about 2 shifts a week and had to get another job. I feel like because I don’t come in as often and work only mornings that I’m really slow. I feel like an idiot a lot of the time and one of my shifts always gets on to me and I understand what to do and i always say yes and never talk back. But sometimes it’s so degrading. But maybe I’m just sensitive. I cried today during work in front of my coworker while one of my other shifts was on a break because they got onto me even though I had an injured finger. Sometimes I just wanna quit but I don’t want to give up. I just want to hear a good job sometimes from them.

I definately felt the same way when I started and then covid hit and then coming back to forgetting a lot of what to do at the job. Talk to your shifts see if they can start by giving you an easier position or help you when you need it. ask them to coach you rather than be on yur case about it. tell them your situation im sure they will understand. It took me six months of being active on the floor to feel slightly comfortable working, it takes a while! please dont give up! talk to your fellow partners too most are always willing to help!

Thank you for telling me not to give up, I really needed it. And I’ll make sure to talk to them, thank you again.
