"Hi excuse me? EXCUSE ME. Is that my flat white? It was supposed to be hot. Also I asked for no whipped cream" "Hi! Is your name.." " Why are you putting caramel dizzel on my flat white!"

I’m heated just from reading this because it’s a daily experience

I genuinely love when someone does this because then I get to look at them with the most innocent face and tell the middle aged business man "your drink is almost done Diane? Oh! You're not Diane? This is HER drink, yours will be ready shortly" 🙃

Idk...how you can be so fucking self absorbed thar you cant fathom that a billion dollar coffe chain serves more people than just you.

Love it when half the time people don't even know what their drink even looks like bruh

"That's not what I ordered."
"You're damn right it's not."

This the funniest & stupidest-est thing encounter. This happens too many times & I just can't wrap my brain around it.. How?!

I had a lady this morning watching me like a hawk at the brew station. As soon as I turned around she was already coming toward the handoff plane. I’m calling out a name (that isn’t her) and she’s steady reaching out for the drink.
She then has the nerve to look at the lady whose drink it DID belong to and say “oh this is yours??”
Yes lady. If you would’ve been patient instead of rushing to the handoff plan like a f’n linebacker. Calm your nerves. Your drink is coming. Now you’ve put your hands all over someone else’s drink!!!!

Ugh I’m sorry you had to deal with that

😭 had to dump a drink today when a “susan” heard “justin” and grabbed a cup out of my hand.
(Btw customers please try not to touch barista’s hands. there is a pandemic on)

I got a kick out of watching a customer reach his hand in my venti cup of ice (with my name) that was at hand off and place some cubes in his cappuccino (he already ordered cooler than normal). Fellow Barista bonded over that view when I went up for my drink shortly after. I was waiting for that same customer to put the lid back on and leave it at hand off. At least he had the decency to take away what he already touched. I don’t get people.
And yes I got a fresh cup of ice 😂

Oh my god that’s awful. I feel like at that point all you can do is laugh at them.

I know some people are so stupid order a hot drink but grab a cold drink. Or grab a drink that has someone else's name. Losers don't touch the cups 😉

Some customers are just incredibly oblivious. I also used to work at a diner and there were numerous times where - wrongfully - a burger was brought out to someone who ordered an All Day Breakfest and the customer would just start eating it. Like how do you forget you ordered scrambled eggs 15 minutes ago to the point you mistake them for a burger??
ohheellllno [OP]3 points2y ago
THATS THE WORST. When they consume half and then decided THEN to remember they in fact ordered something completely different
obeehunter3 points2y ago
Half the time they wouldn't even remember. The mistake would become clear when the right customer asked about their burger.

I was on hot bar making DT drinks and this old man literally chased me down going “iS tHaT mInE?” even tho I literally told him exactly who was making his Frappuccinos, but. Yeah. This venti extra hot soy milk mocha is definitely yours.

or when they watch you while you're making drinks and you're making two drinks at once and they get mad that you're making their drink wrong when you're actually making somebody else's drink I had a woman yell at me "that's not almond milk!!" when I was making a flat white for somebody else I was like yes you're right it's not almond milk it's actually for somebody else your drink is literally right here almost done with almond milk
