Video Interview? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by antihistamine7
Hi! I recently applied for a job as an entry level part time barista at starbucks and im really excited. I've done a phone interview already and I've been asked to do a video interview. I was just wondering if you guys had any advice or tips for what hiring managers typically look for/ask about? This would be my first ever job so I don't really know what to expect haha, thank you!

Just be yourself. Starbucks will hire introverts and quiet people too. Emphasize your work ethic, team mentality, and aptitude for learning. Those skills are often more valuable in day-to-day work here.

When I interviewed for Starbucks I remember that one of the hiring managers always looked for someone who had a lot of energy because the work is always fast paced. If you look up barista interview questions and YouTube videos it should come up with a lot of the common questions. That's what I had used to help me prepare for the interview. You also want to make sure you have at least basic answers to the said questions (always think about what the employer wants to hear). And also make sure you are dressed at least business casual.

And a good plus is to ask questions!

I know that my answer was a little vague so sorry about that! I hope you found my answer at least semi helpful though!

It's very helpful, thank you for answering! I've read a little about common interview questions already but I know I need to go over them lol. usually im pretty chill (and sleepy...) but i'll try to be more peppy for the interview :D

Oh I am glad you found it helpful! I am not a very energetic person either so the interview was a little hard for me but I am sure you'll nail it!
