Never. My store has had strawless lids for over a year and we’re not allowed to refuse if they ask.

yeah ik we cant refuse but it’s kinda annoying constantly being asked for not only a straw, but the old lids. and even after im like “we’re switching to strawless lids” and people are still like “yeah but i like drinks with a straw”

I mean people have disabilities that require them to use straws. Some people might have extra sensitive teeth, there’s no way of knowing just by looking at someone what their needs are.

The old lids will eventually get discontinued once your warehouses can start stocking / delivering the strawless ones to the same levels.

But straws are literally the bottom of the barrel when it comes to unenecessary plastic waste by Starbucks.

i know and understand all that, just was trying to make a joke after a long day of work.

I mean I'm 21, but look like a high schooler, and have had a stroke so using a straw is way easier. You don't know if that person needs a straw or not. It literally takes like 5 extra seconds to grab a straw and give it to them. Getting tired of all these posts complaining about giving people straws.
