"I Can't Breathe Through the Cloth Mask" (self.starbucksbaristas)

So after we made mask required for everyone in store and not just the partners, we had a regular come in maskless. My shift asks her to put on a mask or she'll not be served. Regular argues for a bit and then leaves. A few minutes later, she comes back in and SHE'S GOT A PLASTIC BAG OVER HER HEAD. I'm sani-ing the lobby at that point and I'm like, "Hi, \[Regular\]! You know, we've got masks for you if you don't have any!" and she goes, "I CAN'T BREATHE THROUGH YOUR MASKS!" I'm a taken aback and so before I can stop myself I ask, "But... you can breathe through plastic?" and she yells, "YES!" My shift asked her to put on a proper mask or leave. She left. The next day she came back with a mask that says "F U" across it. I'm glad she found a proper mask that she can breathe through so that she wouldn't have to suffocate herself with a plastic bag to get her coffee, now.

You should’ve offered to secure the plastic bag around her neck for her safety of course. Say your uncle used to do it all time while wearing women’s clothing. Luckily they found found him in time, he must not have breathing through the plastic correctly as she obviously can.

We have regulars that come in with lace masks on. My DM told us we can’t tell people to put on a mask, only strongly suggest. It boils my blood

It's a corporate policy. If your DM tells you that you can't enforce it, tell them corporate outranks them.

You should report them to partner resources. If they do t want to wear a mask you are allowed to ask them to go through drive (if you have one), order then wait outside while the drinks are being made, and if they are throwing a fit you can reinforce that it's company policy and refuse service.

I don’t get people I am 7 months pregnant and I literally can not breath half the time already the mask makes it worse BUT I wear a damn mask for 5-8 hours a day at work!!! I do go to the bathroom every hour or a little longer to take off the mask and breath normal. Don’t come at me with I can’t breath bull!!!

a guy came in today with no mask and when one of our girls said he needed one he flipped and started yelling and saying it’s not a law and went on and on about how it’s bs if we refuse to serve him because he doesn’t want to wear a mask and he started yelling at other customers too

SS: Ok, then you can either place a mobile order and wait outside or go through the drive-thru
Man: Can I have one of those masks?
Make it make sense.

I mean, I did have some trouble breathing through a cloth mask this week. I was in the middle of the desert, with temps reaching triple digits, and dehydrated, but it was tough. These weenies can STFU.

We had a customer come in maskless yelling about how we are criminals asking him to wear one and that he is not a slave. Was threatened that if he didn't leave our store manager would call the cops. Custom was being backed up by a lady wearing her mask under her nose saying that cops don't enforce mask laws while another one if his buddies properly wore his mask that was written on in marker "stupid af". Yeah cops don't enforce mask laws but they do enforce trespassing and and harassment bon private property. I think people forget that places of business are yes "in public" but are private property
