I mean... pumpkin itself has sugar.
So whatever she’s been having has been some synthetic knockoff or she’s fallen to false advertisement.

Or she’s a dirty liar. That’s more likely.

Exactly. What really annoys me is that most doctors agree that sugar free stuff isn't better for you than sugar. Some even say that it's worse. I don't care about your diet, Nancy, it probably doesn't work anyway
CeramicLicker 11 points 2y ago
Is it meant to be healthy? I’m new here and assumed it was for diabetics, like sugar free candy.
callmeswashbuckler [OP] 18 points 2y ago
I wanted to include this in the original comment. But this is a fantastic point. Sugar free isn't meant for weight loss. Same way keto isn't meant for weight loss. People use it for that anyway though, and sometimes seriously damage their bodies.
ladyelenawf 10 points 2y ago
>it probably doesn't work anyway

Can confirm, struggling and only 4 pounds down. It is not working.
anselgrey 1 points 2y ago
What doesn’t work? Sugar free foods or keto? If keto, then you probably aren’t doing it right. Pop over to the keto sub-reddit and check out common errors when starting out.
ladyelenawf 2 points 2y ago
No, I was being silly. I meant diets in general. I'm doing CICO, technically it's working its just not magical.
mayonaizmyinstrument 9 points 2y ago
I'm sorry that the PSL doesn't fit with your garbage disgusting breve and sugar-free vanilla keto TRASH.
philosopher_cat_lady 1 points 2y ago
Well, yeah, but it depends on if you're talking about naturally-occurring sugar or added sugar.
Critical50 1 points 2y ago
It could be the natural sugar in pumpkin + artificial sweeteners.

I've been side eyeing everyone who gets pumpkin spice anything with added Splenda. The mental gymnastics our customers have been displaying lately are Olympic.
isglitteracolor 12 points 2y ago
I have a regular who gets a grande white mocha with 6WM and 6 Splenda. Like...just admit you don’t like coffee
blkjoey 4 points 2y ago
i cannot fathom drinking anything with more than 4 pumps of white mocha, i know that’s bad enough but 6 😔
Hound-Dog-1917 5 points 2y ago
Well said!
CarelessKai 2 points 2y ago
customers who sub the vanilla for sf vanilla in pumpkin cream cold brew like tho
big_boi_goose 21 points 2y ago
I literally had a woman scream and cuss at me in the drive through because we don’t have more sugar free syrups
mayonaizmyinstrument 15 points 2y ago
You could offer her a discontinued skinny mocha packet in this trying time
isaactheawsome 16 points 2y ago
She probably means the sugar free creamers? Like at the store? I’ve had many customers assume we just use creamers to make drinks.
callmeswashbuckler [OP] 12 points 2y ago
Nope! She was talking about syrup. She wanted to know why starbucks didn't have sugar free syrup, but other regional coffee shops, did.

I appreciate you trying to see the best in her, but it's really okay. This woman was pretty dense.
isaactheawsome 5 points 2y ago
I forgot people are stupid.
rudebii 2 points 2y ago
Most pumpkin spice flavorings out there don't actually have pumpkin. Starbuck's is unique in that it actually has it in its syrup.
tinydesthique 5 points 2y ago
sugar free anything ain’t even good for you in the first place wtf
nicathor 3 points 2y ago
I've looked at other cafes' pumpkin spice, they don't have pumpkin. They're literally just sugar, maybe some condensed milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, and 'natural flavors'
philosopher_cat_lady 1 points 2y ago
Right, it's only this year that Starbucks added pumpkin purée to its pumpkin sauce
philosopher_cat_lady 2 points 2y ago
Does our pumpkin spice topping have sugar in it?
callmeswashbuckler [OP] 1 points 2y ago
I don't think so, to me it just seems like a pumpkin pie spice mix, but it might
redandblackriot 2 points 2y ago
Our pumpkin spice topping does not have sugar in it.
callmeswashbuckler [OP] 1 points 2y ago
Thanks
philosopher_cat_lady 2 points 2y ago
Yeah, I'm gonna see today and let you know :-)
callmeswashbuckler [OP] 1 points 2y ago
This is literally so kind i think. were you also homeschooled because this is something I would say. I'm so excited to know
