Why is this even a thing? I had one supervisor say we're not allowed and others who say it the customer gets what they want. Personally, adding a COLD foam on a HOT beverage sounds like a one way trip to the bathroom.

Everyone saying it’s wrong: how is it different than whipped cream or even putting milk in coffee? To me it seems perfectly fine, the only issue being the foam will melt. Also, if they can order it in the app it doesn’t make sense to tell them no when they order in person

It’s fine. We had a hot americano with VSC foam last year in Canada. Also, a dollop of cold foam on a 150+ degree beverage wouldn’t immediately put it into the danger zone. We (used to) let customers leave their drinks out/doctor their coffees to their liking, and I can assure you some of their drip concoctions had more dairy than what you’re describing. Your first shift is wrong.

Thank you!

It is allowed and while it sucks ass to make, and I HATE IT AND I WILL COMPLAIN, but it’s an added cost for them, which is extra labor for us.

You think the combination of hot and cold makes you shit? What’s wrong with your insides?

i think it shouldn’t be allowed because of the Danger Zone
