Quitting from Starbucks (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by lilyrose052003
I started at Starbucks in August and so many people have quit since i started. I don’t really know what to do because everyone i liked left. I am a closer and it’s very stressful as many of you know. Should i consider transferring locations or trying to work mornings?

I’ve always been a mid/closer and just from the pace of things and the people who work closing as opposed to opening, I would never open because closes are a lot more chill. But I expect this changes from store to store? There’s just less pressure later in the day. So if the store isn’t working for you, you could try transferring? I dont know what that process is like but people transfer all the time.

Depends on the store. My store does 50% of the days sales in the last 7 hours of the day.... the store is open 18 hours. That means, mathematically from 3 to 10 half of the 10k we take in happens.

I’m an opener, and it’s also extremely stressful. From my experience, fewer openers are scheduled so we’re always short-staffed. The morning rush lasts almost two hours, and a lot of stuff doesn’t get done because it’s all hands on deck. If you’re in a high volume store, try mornings and see how you like it! I actually really enjoy opening. The rush also makes it go by a lot faster and the openers are all tired and hilarious.

This!!! Openers are always so sleep deprived and delirious that it’s so fun and chaotic

My location is the busiest in the district and the closers are always understaffed but in the mornings there’s always at least 8 people so it’s very frustrating lol

opener here! i personally love it. love having the rest of my day off. in my experience at my store all the weird people who order ridiculous drinks wake up after 10am, the sooner i can get in and out of the store is better lol. yes it is busy in the morning but for the most part people have sane normal orders and it just goes by so much faster

Yessss the freaks that want espresso in green tea lemonades or no ice Frappuccinos but double blend that shit dont even wake up until noon!

Yeah most of the early morning people we get tend to order coffees, nitros, or americanos. Makes it easy on us!
