Partner’s mother (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Month_Puzzleheaded
To the mother of the partner who came today to my store, I want to start by saying that I wasn’t being rude or dissing your daughter when she told me she has partner numbers and tried to show me her pin as form of ID for working with the company. It’s good that she got a pin for working for Starbucks for how many years it said in that pin. However, there other pins out there that might look like are issued by Starbucks, so it was logically of me to still asked for her ID card. As I said I wasn’t being rude, we have been told to ask for IDs and my SM is really strict on that subject, maybe at her store they are ok with not asking for IDs, maybe they accept showing a pin, I don’t know but at least at my store is not accepted.
Every store manager follow the rules the best he or she wants and I was not going to put myself in a situation where I would get written up for something silly like that.

Funny thing is the daughter should’ve known if she has been working for so long lol

Exactly my thoughts, the daughter should have known better.

All my ex coworkers have pins too... also who carries around a Starbucks pin with them but not an ID?

My coworkers have pins too but they don’t use them like that lol. True, one would think that going to a different Starbucks and using partners numbers and being told to provide an ID is the normal thing to do but I guess not for this girl and her mom.
