At a mall location one of the partners did her own "sunset drink" lists the whole recipe and all. Its mango dragonfruit lemonade with passion tea layered on top. (Or maybe guava?)
But we have this customer who keeps coming to our location trying to order it. She has no clue whats in it, but she keeps saying she wants it.
Unfortunately this is the second time Ive made it for her and I shouldnt have because Im pretty sure Im the only one that for some reason knows the recipe...

When we have ppl who want stuff like that we tell them we can make it but we will have to charge for 2 drinks..it normally strays them away from it.

They posted this, sans recipe, to a subreddit for baristas and wanted to share something pretty they're proud of. The tiktok recipes annoy me just as much as everyone else but that doesn't mean we can't let coworkers share one of the few fun parts of the job.

While I agree with you, this subreddit is available for anyone to follow if they wish ... I’m not a barista, just an avid coffee lover who loves to take in the tips and tricks from you all (and because of this reddit I now purposefully avoid asking for drinks like this because I know how frustrating they are to make).

One thing I kinda hate is like if you don't get a basic ass drink then it becomes frustrating. Like sorry as a customer I don't want to drink that swill of pike place or the gross teas that they're forced to sell because they got rid of the good ones here (rev up and the defense brew). I'm definitely not a bad customer in the least, I'm *always* polite (like everyone should because why disrespect??) And patient when they're making my drink or are swarmed with orders so mine is last, really doesn't bother me especially when most locations I frequent have 1 or 2 people working at a time.
BUT DAMMIT JACKIE I want something fancy🤣🤣🤣, not that though, that looks gross honestly

No I'm just tired of being solo drive, helping with crazy mix up drinks and still having to warm up some breakfast. I know the recipes by heart so yes its nice when you just mix it up a bit, but i don't love this drink nor the thought of making it. Simple.

I think one of my favourite situations would be when customers would ask for like a 'Minty Sailboat Espresso Hot Milk' and show you the recipie and it's a vanilla latte with a pump of peppermint.

I have two customers that come through the drive thru regularly asking for the jack skeleton frap and the cinderella frap and everytime I have to remind them that isn't an official drink and they will have to give us the recipe --- they get mad everytime
