Once had a regular who worked at the Japanese restaurant next door bring in a huge box of meat, rice, and other foods for us. One of the sweetest things someone has done for me.

We had a regular tip us in beer and wine. The manager was there and took home some of that beer. The regular brought a bunch of chocolate bars. Manager ate one. The next day the same regular brought us pasta from a restaurant. Like, probably $50 worth of pasta dinners. I was reaching to bring it in and the manager lost his fucking shit because he can't bring outside food to us? Mother fucker you let us take ALCOHOL but won't let us take lunch?!?! He was a complete ass to said regular about it and told him he'd just have to throw it away.


We lost that regular that day. He never came back.

A kitchen manager from a locally owned fried chicken restaurant came in. I jokingly asked if he had my fried chicken. He said we could totally do a food swap, I told him all I could do is give him a discount. Man just shrugs and says sure. He took all of our orders and came back with food for us. 😭

My first few weeks at my bucks 13 years ago, a friend of mine was a bartender at the pub next door. She offered to trade me drinks for drinks so on my lunch hour I did just that.
