Or anywhere for that matter. I was front + food for most of my shift, which I didn’t mind since it wasn’t extremely busy and never ran out of something to do. I see a woman in front of the register, so I walk over and say “hi welcome to Starbucks what may I get for you today??” And I’m super nice, I even complimented her cute mask and asked how she was doing. And she just stares into my soul and goes “I can’t her you” and like, I talk really quiet so I have to borderline scream at customers a lot. I talk louder and she just says she can’t hear me. This goes on for minutes to the point other customers are staring at me screaming “WHAT CAN I GET FOR YOU?” at a customer. Note I’m still trying to keep my friendly tone as best I can. All she says is “I can’t hear you” and I’m like???? Literally how. So I was honestly fed up at that point so I got my manager (she was the first person i saw) and was like “so this lady says she can’t hear me talking can you see if you can get her order” and my manager walks over and practically whispers and the lady gives me a dirty look and goes “hi yes I would like a doppio macchiato :) i saw that girl here is new so I figured she didn’t know how to ring it up” you literally could have just a. Told me your order and I would have figured it out. It’s literally my fucking job. B. Asked me to get someone else instead of being a bitch about it???? Unfortunately the manager who usually sticks up for us baristas wasn’t working today and the one who helped the customer just shrugged and said “sorry about that”

Anyways I had so many horrible people today. One of which that threw a right-out-of-the-oven double smoked bacon at me. Long story there.

Also totally unrelated but someone ordered an iced white mocha with 12 pumps WM and 8 scoops matcha??? With pumpkin foam??? 🤢 that’s just nasty
