Idk if it’s just my store but I’m not sure we always have the dark caramel out- the dark caramel I think is superior though it’s like real caramel

The thing is caramel syrup is probably artificially flavored, while the dark caramel looks to me like a dulce de leche sauce. So id say that dark caramel is closer to real caramel & thats why you prefer it

I’m not a caramel guy so I’ve never bothered tasting it, but you definitely should complain when you get that wrong. You’re ordering one drink. You’re not ordering a caramel frappuccino. That’s quite literally false advertisement if they don’t give you the dark caramel

It’s probably just a barista who was improperly trained. You should just order a caramel frappuccino but substitute the caramel syrup for the dark caramel sauce. Then you’re guaranteed the barista is making what you want, you still get the whip cream & drizzle. If you really want, you can add caramel crunchies to the top but they might charge you extra.. but if you ask for extra dark caramel on the bottom of your cup they won’t charge you for that! The whip at the bottom is a scam. Plus some baristas really go at it and a large portion of the $6 beverage just goes to waste into our sinks.
