Aprons! And coffee academy?(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by dazzy_17
Hi all! I get it...the coffee masters coarse is gone or might be coming back. That's fine, but who has done the full coffee academy?
First off, I am a army vet and did the sign up for a veteran apron and have not received the apron or a confirmation email with any information. I did this 2 weeks ago, so I get it takes time....
Secondly, I did the coffee academy levels 100, 200, and 300. Just finished it 30 minutes ago actually. Yes you get an apron and yes I know it sucks for actual coffee masters who had to go through 8 weeks of hard work for there's.
Has anyone had experience with getting a veteran apron and what did you need to do, if anything, after inputting your info on partner hub? And has anyone done and received the black apron after doing the courses and what was the process?
Veteran program is called Roll Call and can be found on the Hub under Social Impact -> veteran & military support.
TLDR DRAMATIC: I WANT WHAT IS OWED TO ME! TLDR: US veteran partner Apron and coffee academy apron, how long and process?

So, there is no Coffee Academy apron. Some *licensed* locations are offering their baristas the Coffee Master apron if they finish Coffee Academy, but that is not the case for *corporate* locations.
And in my experience working with military spouses, the aprons can take upwards of a month or two to receive. And that was pre-COVID.

There is a coffee master apron available for those that complete the full course. However it doesn't say how you get it, the process or if it's guaranteed.

... if you work at a licensed location. Not if you work at a corporate store.

No where does it say this. Perhaps it's not something you experienced yet bc the course rolled out this year.

Uh more like can you show where it says you do get an apron? Because it doesn’t say it anywhere. Except for a weekly update that was for *licensed* stores.
And I finished 300 the day it rolled out.

Be aware that when you get the vets apron it will be green. They don't make allowances for Coffee Academy apron color, etc.
It took me several months and a couple of emails to the mail to link in the Roll Call page to finally get mine.
BTW, being a veteran myself; Starbucks doesn't owe you anything for having served. The aprons are a nice gesture, but a paycheck is all that is owed.

Lol it was a joke hence DRAMATIC. So basically email roll call I guess and wait.

Apologies.. Sometimes hard to tell without an emoji.. Good luck on getting the apron.

Lol just work at a tarbux. Our baristas have access to the order guide and order a pair of black coffeemaster aprons for all of us😃

I could definitely be wrong, but I thought your manager had to order them. When partners at my store needed veteran aprons, they just talked to our manager. Same with the coffee masters back when that was a thing. So IDK, but maybe try that?

Possibly for ordering for replacements but that's the problem with this. Literally no one can give a clear concise answer.
